Commonwealth Day Lunch
Commonwealth Day is the second Monday in March each year.
The Commonwealth Day Council hold their annual lunch at NSW Parliament House in the presence of the Patron and Vice Patrons of the Council.
During the lunch, the message from Her Majesty is presented reflecting the theme of the Commonwealth.
In addition the annual Tom Harvey Award for Citizenship and the Pat Keill Award OAM are presented to outstanding young persons who have contributed to a better life for others.
Just on 300 guests attend each year from business and diplomatic corps sectors.
In addition, around 100 school students participate in activities prior to and during the lunch.
